Discovery Weekends

Stay at the historic Samuel Fitch House while you, your family and friends enjoy a customized Discovery Weekend. The weekend is typically a 4-day, 3-night stay.

Start with our "Favorite Activities" or let us help customize your stay around your areas of interest. Past guests have enjoyed historic weekends centered on outdoor museums, such as Old Sturbridge Village, or a visit to the Salem Witch Museum. Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth NH is a wonderful day trip. Local historic sites abound; Orchard House in Historic Concord, Minuteman National Park in Lexington, The Mills of Lowell or a day-long tour of Boston.

Art weekends are full of possibilities; the artist colony of Rockport is a favorite seaside destination. Local Art Galleries and Antique Shops are abundant. For the artist, special arrangements can be made for classes and workshops.

The "Surprise Discovery Weekend" is a favorite. This weekend allows each guest attending to choose an area of interest; one day may find your party hiking through local woodlands; the next touring a local winery.

Each weekend includes a tea and tour of this historic property including tales of those who have lived here. Fine dining, shopping and local museums complete your stay.
